Choosing a career path and thinking about what you want to do when you leave school can be overwhelming. To help with this, you have access to a variety of support in the form of both staff in school and online platforms and websites. Staff in school who you can ask for support and advise include:

Unifrog

Unifrog is a great tool that has a wealth of resources to give you information about different career pathways and courses you can study when you leave school. To search for courses, including sixth form, college and apprenticeship courses, use the different links to the searching tools. To look at future career pathways utilise the careers library. There are also a number of courses and quizzes on Unifrog that you can complete to help give you an idea of the kinds of industries and subjects that might suit you interests and strengths. These include the Skills Profile and Quiz Profile.

To access your Unifrog account you will need your DMA email address and the password you created when you first logged in. If you have forgotten your password you will need to use the ‘reset password’ link on the sign-in page. If you have never logged in, please speak to Miss Webber for support.


Help You Choose

Help You Choose is a platform that all students will gain access to in year 11 to enable you to search and apply for post-16 pathways. The search tool on the platform allows you to find pathways available within the local area and provides information on how to apply and the grades you need. BBC Bitesize Careers

BBC Bitesize’s careers page has a wide range of information about different career pathways and the different routes into these careers. Carers are linked to different subject areas, so if you are unsire of where to start in looking for possible future careers, then looking at those associated with subjects that you enjoy in school can be a great place to start. BBC Bitesize also has a quiz to help you fid your perfect career.


How To Become A…

How To Become A…. is a podcast that shines a light on some lesser known careers through interviewing people in those jobs who share their stories on how they got to where they are and the pathways they took. The podcast also has Instagram, twitter and TikTok pages you can follow to keep up to date with the newest podcasts and find useful information about the world of work.
